Hollywood Beach Cafe
Hollywood Beach Cafe is one of my favorite beach breakfast houses to eat at. Located right across from the sand in Hollywood Beach, HBC is a dog friendly restaurant that will make even the newest person feel like a Local. With a full bar, and expanded operating hours, HBC has quickly become a staple here in our little beach community.

Hollywood Beach Oxnard Homes For Sale
Oxnard Tops the Charts as the Most Expensive City to Airbnb a 3-bedroom Home
Breaking News: Hold onto your hats, folks! According to the Miami Herald, Oxnard has officially clinched the title of the most expensive city in the U.S. to Airbnb a 3-bedroom house, surpassing renowned destinations like Honolulu, Austin, and San Diego!

One of the best-known secrets of Ventura County, Hollywood Beach in Oxnard offers a serene, secluded atmosphere to its homeowners, creating the feeling of an exclusive private beach. Considered a more economical alternative to Malibu, this is the least attended beach of all of the Oxnard beaches, and this quiet vibe is part of the draw that keeps bringing buyers back to enjoy the lifestyle it offers. Located on the south end of the peninsula, this waterfront offers a mile-long, wide stretch of beach that is never crowded and remains peaceful even in the busier summer season. As a county beach, it is accessible to all but remains mostly undiscovered by visitors and tourists. Hollywood Beach Oxnard homes for sale range from small cottages all the way up to sprawling beach houses.

This quiet coastal community was dubbed “Hollywood-by-the-Sea” in 1926 by developer Fred J. Cutting, who was drawn to the site following its movie debut in the early 1920s, in films such as “Bound by Morrocco” and “The Sheik”. Leveling the sand dunes, he enacted his vision into the scenery, creating 100 individual lots that originally featured quaint beach cottages. Its evolution continued into the 1960s, when the development of the Channel Islands introduced a waterway and jetties into the layout, separating what was once one large beach into two defined communities – Hollywood Beach and Silver Strand. Eventually, the small cottages were developed into larger luxury homes, bringing buyers to the area with the attractive offering of a peaceful second home.

While this beach remains quiet during the week, the weekends find it bustling with homeowners returning to the serene landscape for a weekend getaway from city life, families looking for a beach day, and locals cruising around on bikes or golf carts enjoying the idyllic coastal vibe. The local restaurants, Sunday Farmer’s Markets, and the occasional festival or car show create a lively draw to this little-known beauty and bring momentary active energy to what is predominantly a tranquil setting.
