While Westport itself is primarily residential, the adjacent communities bring an array of activity to its residents.  Backed onto Oxnard Shores, there is plenty of opportunity to explore and enjoy this expanse of coastline and everything it has to offer, including several public beaches.  The 16.5 mile stretch of continuous, uninterrupted beach, is one of the longest within California, proving attractive for beachgoers and visitors.  The nearby harbor communities bring with them plenty of dining and shopping experiences, complete with beautifully landscaped parks and idyllic harbor walks.  Water activities abound in these neighborhoods, with jet ski rentals, boat rentals, paddle boarding, fishing, and surfing.  Channel Islands Harbor is one of the premier destinations nearby, offering plenty of activity for the adventurer and family alike, even providing an opportunity for parasailing or taking a romantic gondola ride in its waterways.  With all of this entertainment to enjoy and more modern housing options, the neighborhood of Westport continues to see new residents drawn to this waterfront gem.
